The crossbreeding experiment in dairy animals undertaken under All-India Coordinated Research Project is an exploratory genetic experiment which utilizes frozen semen of exotic sires on indigenous female genetic group to produce crosses which are halfbreds. Thus in these experiments the information on their one of the parents are not availble which poses a problem to biometrician while evaluating the heterosis in halfbreds.
