The Local goats of Malaysia and their crossbreds with the German (Improved) Fawn goats were evaluated for growth and reproduction performance. The crossbreds were found to, generally, perform better than the Locals. The individual and maternal heterosis were, generally, negative for most of the trails while the individual additive genetic effect of the German Fawn genes were, generally, positive and significant.
