Genetic parameters of volume, concentration, number of spermatozoa per ejaculate and motility were evaluated in adult AI Lacaune rams. Estimates were obtained using restricted maximum likelihood methodology applied to a multiple trait animal model with defined correlation structures among short and long-term environmental effects. Estimates of heritability were 0.220.03, 0.240.04, 0.180.03 and 0.180.03 for volume, concentration, number of spermatozoa and motility, respectively. Genetic correlations among traits were in agreement with literature results. Within year and across year repeatability estimates were functions of time between collections.
